I have been doing web development professionally since 1995. My first web job was at a small startup called AudioNet. They were based out of a small garage office in Deep Ellum (Dallas, TX). The energy and passion for the emerging web technologies was high at the company led by a young entrepreneur (Mark Cuban). Ever since then I have been hooked on web development and all the cutting-edge technologies. After leaving AudioNet I worked for a variety of companies in the Dallas Tx area including Computer City, i2, Ackerman McQueen and Unitrin Insurance. Currently I am employed at Implicit Solutions where our main product is a transit bus procurement application. I have worked with most of the popular web technologies throughout the years. My current focus is with Flex RIA interfaces.

In my spare time my son and I enjoy riding motocross, enduros and cross country races.  We also like to ride mt bikes at the various local trails.  My wife and I are officers with the Texas Offroad Racing Organization (TORO) and we camp and race at all the TORO races.

This WordPress blog contains info about my web development projects, interests & activities.

TxDude! Found your page while researching the RCA Lyra x2400. I want to buy one. Since you you alreayd have one, I wanted to ask you about your experience. The manufacturer’s tech support is not skilled enough to answer my questions, so I am polling owners on the Internet.

    1. What helmet cam do you use with it, how many lines of resolution, 380, 420, 480, or 520???

    2. the x2400 comes with a 512MB CF card- have you purchased a greater capacity card, 1GB? 2B? 4GB? I am desparate to find out!

I too want to make motorcycle/mnt bike videos with a Lyra & helmetcam setup.

    thanks for you time,

I too stumbled across your blog when researching the x2400 – you can pick it up for less than $80 on B&H Video now! What quality did you record the video at? I see that you can record at 1.57Mb/s for ‘Best’ quality at 640×480 resolution and wondering if that produces good results. I was a little disappointed with the quality on the Youtube video you posted but you did state the original was better quality. Do you mind sending me some original footage (bek25_at_drexel_d0t_c0m) or putting it up on your blog (or on Megaupload or similar site)? As the above poster I would like to start recording some of my rides. Thanks,

4-H is working on creating a website for ATV enthusiasts that includes a map similar to the one you’ve posted (http://www.txtracks.com/mt-bike-trails-map.cfm). Is this something you do professionally, if you were, in fact, the one who created it? We’d be interested in finding out more about how you put this all together and possibly having you create one for 4-H.

    Thank you for your time.
